We got this awesome piece of press in the Stranger in December! This was a pre-show write up by Dave Segal!

"(Crocodile) Jarrod Bramson, main songwriter of Port Townsend pop-rockers Solvents, possesses a deft touch with the guitar and the melody while singing in a voice not unlike Alex Chilton at his most hushed, balladic, Big Star best. Emily Madden's violin adds crucial poignancy to Bramson's dulcet, gossamer songcraft, and understated percussionist Sasha Landis rounds out the lineup. STFU and swoon to their tunes."

We start working on the new album on Sat. Feb. 4th with Pete Lack at Cart Wheel studios. Pete has helped out on most solvents recording projects in the past: either mastering or tracking. We are super excited to spend some quality time with him in his awesome studio! Check out his website!

The band has been working hard to get our shit together. The new songs are weird..some of them are quite "power pop" actually. Which is rad because that stuff is super fun to play. There are some ballads as well...

We contributed a song to an amazing Smiths tribute album called: Please, Please, Please: A tribute to the Smiths

This 2 disc cd includes some amazing artists including: Doug Martsch, Telekinesis, The Wedding Present, Tanya Donelly and more.

We are fully honored to be part of such an awesome album! According to Joe at American Laundromat Records, its the best selling tribute cd he's put out!

Hi guys and gals! Its me, the WEBMASTER giving you all the details on what the band is up to these days! Hold on to your hats! This shit is going to blow your mind!

First off, the band has been working ULTRA HARD trying to nail/record THE SMITHS "IS IT REALLY SO STRANGE?" for an up coming smiths tribute cd on AMERICAN LAUNDRY MAT RECORDS called "Please, Please, Please: A TRIBUTE TO THE SMITHS" We are totally excited and honored to be a part of this project! Its unreal that our little band from P.T. will be sharing c.d. space with the likes of Doug Martsch, The Wedding Present, Telekinesis, and many other great groups and artists. This will be a available in the Fall, 2011

We are currently writing new material for a new record that we will start recording in August, 2011..

STILL WAITING FOR THE TEST PRESSINGS TO SHOW UP FOR "FORGIVE YR. BLOOD" from Erika Records...Should be here this week, but im not holding my breath......Once again, I wanted to thank all of the Kickstarter folks for making this happen! You guys are true DREAM WEAVERS!
